Or did they just do away with the special fuctions config in 6.5. I use a number of custom variables in my mods and hacks that I could easily enter there.
Not that I don't mind manually editing the config file, this was just handy.
Is it hidden someplace I'm blind to, or have they just done away with it?

No they did away with it - you can manually add them to the config - I'm not sure if they'll be blown out when you edit the config through the editor though. So I add them into main.inc.php

From what I've seen with my test board, they don't get blown away. Good to know that I'm not losing my mind. I don't mind editing the config file.

They'll stay in the config.inc.php file. I started adding the variable that I use to the control panel so I could make changes without editing the config file "by hand".

I was thinking about that as well last night. I'll probably do the same, write the options into the control panel to make life easier for those who use the mods I make.
