I moved my attachments directory from the webroot(/attachments) to /Forums/threads/attachments and now a lot of the links in the posts fail. What SQL query can I use to correct this?

So you specificed both a new path and URL in config.inc.php and it still fails? I don't believe a query is needed because the database only stores the attachment filename in the B_File field of the Posts table (unless that has all changed in the newer threads versions?).

Otherwise it's a) having the correct path and URL specified and b) making sure the attachments folder is correctly CHMOD'd.

actually what is happening is someone has url-linkd to some photos she has uploaded so they display within the posts. Now that the linked directory has changed the URLs have dropped out of the posts but if I edit the posts I can see the URLs

example
Code
 <br />was <br />[Linked Image] <br />should be <br />[Linked Image]

I am going edit her posts manually but in the 3 years my board s have been up this may be extensive.

No need to manually edit anything

UPDATE w3t_Posts
SET B_Body = REPLACE(B_Body, 'http://emeraldforestseattle.com/attachments','http://emeraldforestseattle.com/ubbthreads/attachments');

Try omitting the ; at the end then? Maybe that's the case if you aren't using Apache, not sure. I know it works for me with it in there.
