Say for example, someones spamming via PM.
Instead of banning them, is there a way of stopping them sending PM's?

Not built in, but if it was just one user you could fix thier wagon with something like this.

In the private message scripts - below the authenticate() function, you could add

if ($user['U_Number'] == xxx) { exit; }
