I am planning on doing this final upgrade. Since my board is considerably hacked would you suggest doing a manual upgrade and what are the best ways to do this.Things have changed considerably since the 6.2 days I see and It's been a while since I have done the manual thing.

well, until the bugs are sorted out, i wouldnt bother mate. But thats IMO! I'm holding off until the bugs are squashed, I dont see the point going from a minor buggy version like I have now, to a just as bug-ridden release.

I can understand you not wanting to do it on MEG Nick for the same reason, I noticed you have done it on the RC site though

Thanks for saving me the headaches then. I wasn't looking forward to doing it anyway. Just getting my forums up on a hosted server and upgrading from 6.4 (I think) after hosting from my home for so long was a real treat. Not mentioning the fact I went from a Windows server to Linux (not mentioning?) was a hassle as well.
