I upgraded from 6.5.1b4 to 6.5.1 final and when I did the upgrade it changed the version number to 6.5.1 but when I made a change in the config and saved it, the version number reverted back to 6.5.1b4 for some reason. I even manually changed the config file but everytime I save something in the admin panel it reverts back to 6.5.1b4
How can I stop this from changing, what file controls this?

It might be wrong in the /admin/doeditconfig.php script (or you didn't upload the latest). In either case, you could edit it there.

I think that gave me the info I needed, it would appear I was uploading the wrong version, since that file said it was 6.5.1b4 but I went into the official 6.5.1 zip and this file in there says 6.5.1 ... so it appears I am working with a confused install.
