Hi
No matter what page/thread/post is viewed the IE title is the same meaning my users can not use Internet Explorer to go back to a previous thread because the title list is unhelpfull. Is this somethign I can change?

yes it is, and I only realised it when a user made it part of his feedback post. So you see it properly, what's going on

You can change that in the send_header() function, located in ubbt.inc.php

There's something called "inputtitle" or so. Somewhere at the end of the function.

Thanks, and sorry, there are 4 instances of it and I'm none the wiser as to what to do.

We'll, your question was if the title can be changed. Yes, it can. I also told you where you can change it. I hardly can tell you how to change it without knowing what you want the result should be.

I would like the thread title to be displayed in the title of the page. Then people can use the Internet Explorer back button to go back to their last (x) number of pages visited pages at my site.

The thread title is already part of the page title, as you can see here. But maybe you want it to appear first? Or just have the thread title as page title...

That's just it, at my site the thread title is not part of the page title.

Hmmm did you add any modifications? cause I see what ya mean on your site and unless ya changed something it shouldn't act that way unless its another 6.5.1.1 bug... would need someone running that version to verify that going into a post dosn't change the title

Only mods I made was those that I got from this wonderfull site and it had nothing to do with titles. Thanks for your help and I hope someone can stumble on to the cause. BTW, I have setup a threadsdev username as per suggestion in another thread. I will add give it admin privilages in a minute if you wish to look further into the problem.

If you view the source of your page, you are sending a second <title> </title> tag - which makes the HTML on the page invalid. Threads sends it's own Title tag so if you have this code in your header, remove it.
In fact, view your source, your pages have 2 <head> tags.
The "Default Header" should only be HTML. NO meta tags or <head> tags etc....
The "Header Insert" section will appear inside of the <head> tags. This is for javascript or meta tags. There shouldn't be any html output in there. Don't use the <title> tag in there because threads has it's own title tag.
That's why yours is broeken.
