hey guys i want to know if and how i could do this.

i have a list of say bands. eg

1 Giant Leap
10,000 Maniacs
100 Demons
112
12 Stones
1208


so i will post info about a band and reply to the thread. and i want to link the name of the band in my first post to the post regarding the info of the band.

so i will click 112 and it will take me to the 112 band info in that thread. i till be over about 500pages. kind of like a tag.

at thge moment i have this


but it opens in a new window. is there anyway i can make only these link open in the same window?

thats what i am wanting to do but the first post will have around 5000+ bands lol.

You would have to post using HTML and include target="_top" like this...

The URL with all the slashes are the spider-friendly version, which I suggest you use. If you really want to change it back to the cat=0& stuff, then you can do so in your control panel under Primary Settings -> Advanced Options, and just uncheck the spider-friendly box.

It would be nice to have a template set up for that. where you could enter the info like here when you add a modifacation. it posts it to the forum. You could also add the upload option or add image option so you could add the band image...

is that hard to make

hard for me of course but not for some of the masters here. they could whip it up in a minute.

I know this is prolly alot to ask but if someone wants to, in their free time (free time being a realitive term), could possibly turn that thread in your post into a new-b walk through
