We're finding that some of our logged-in members are intermittently unable to access certain forums - one of which seems permanently inaccessible to anyone not logged in, although the permission settings are correct.

This is what is appearing in the server error log:
File does not exist: /home/winnie/public_html/500.shtml
Premature end of script headers: /home/winnie/public_html/ubbthreads/postlist.php

We're running v6.5.1.1

Does anyone have any ideas?

Possibly a cookie issue, ask them to delete them then re-log back in.

it can be a timeout problem by the server. I have User which set expand all threads as default in his profile and when he enter some of my boards he runs in trouble. In this boards are threads with more then 2000 replys and this cause a timeout.

Check the userprofile and set the view to collapsed.

It does look as if it was due to a server timout. I've disabled 'Expand all topics' and all guests can now view all forums .. as long as they don't try to expand them!

Looking through the server control panel's error log, I can see the following:

[]Premature end of script headers: /home/winnie/public_html/ubbthreads/postlist.php[/]

On an ubbthreads scripted forum I frequent, I can expand one particular forum that has over 32,000 posts without problems, but the one with the errors our end only has just under 4,000.

Any solution would be greatly welcomed!
