Hi,
I remember reading somewhere that it is possible to make it so that any posts that are made in some forums, or possibly even some *threads*, don't increase the post count of members.
This would be handy for me, because I have a thread that is essentially mindless chatter and it is artificially inflating members' post counts who are posting in there.

look at the addpost.php and write some script for it to that basicially says

if(!$Board == "thisone"){

do this...

}

And about that trouble thread - you just let your members run amok on your board and don't moderate them? And if you don't moderate them and let them do their own thing, then why do you care what they're doing in that thread?

I allow members one thread in which they can 'chat'. They still aren't allowed to swear or say anything against the rules of the forums. Every other thread is very vigilently moderated. All I care about is the fact that members' post numbers are a sign of respect, and simple chat posts shouldn't inflate a member's post count, as these meaningless posts are not worth anything.
