For my website I am making a "survival guide" in a sense. I work in Iraq and on my site I'd like to have it so there are two forum posts. One for "What to bring" and one for "What not to bring".

Instead of having a normal forum post where each entry would mean a whole new post which in turn makes the page longer and longer, I would like to have it so that each entry a person makes simply adds to the list in the first post but on the next line down, if that makes sense. Similar to how the Shoutbox looks in IIP. Each user post to the shout box adds a nice new clean looking line.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

hmmmm... not easily. You could make a special template for that forum to strip all extraneous html from each post so they look like they are one post, or allow people to edit each other's posts.

What about creating a new user and posting their log-in information so anyone can post under that user name. Then anyone can edit the post.

You'd have to trust the members of your board though...

Yeah...I'll just probably have everyone post their replies and I'll take that information and manually update the first post with that info.

Thanks anyways for your ideas.

Alternatively you could install a wiki:
http://www.pmwiki.org/

If you decide to do this, and want only registered users to be able to edit it, PM me, I have done this modification on our site:
