Can anyone please tell me how I could put a space between the categories so that there is no border connecting different categories?

JC has done so in his "JC Pro" templates. You should be able to find some to your liking in your threads version at his site:

What version threads are you running?

It is version 6.4

Please make a backup copy of your ubbthreads.tmpl file and try this in it's place.

I do have another question, though. How do you get spaces between the posts, like on this thread? If anyone knows the answer to that it would be much appreciated.
