Thanks in advance for all your help, by the way. I am fascinated reading all the helpful posts here. Thanks for having this board.

Now onto my questions...

1.) Is there a way to change the settings so that the subject line is empty when quick replying and replying? I've looked everywhere and can't find anything on this issue.

2.) Where do I set the default for the post icon? I'd love for default to be no icon at all.

3.) Also, is there a mod available that allows me to set it up so that when a new post is posted, the thread is highlighted? Right now I have to watch posting times, but when my site is officially open and ready for new posters, that isn't feasible. I need it to be obvious which threads have new posts.

4.) And my last question for now.....I visited a UBB forum and loved how their main index is set up. It's not one forum over the other as I'm seeing in my new forum, but it's all forums (no details) listed in tables. It's clean and uncluttered, and I like it. How is this done?

1. it's possible with a template change, tho I find it very helpful to have the subject in front of me - keeps me on topic

2. the easiest way to fix that would be to upload a blank/transparent gif renamed to the file name of your current icon.

3. you can highlight new posts by changing their color settings in the css file - check toward the bottom under the sections that start with
.newlighttable
.newdarktable
.newpostsincat

etc

4. it's possible they've either set it up to display categories only or removed any description for the forums so they stack like that. It's difficult to say without a link to the forum in question. Could be a custom page they've set up specifically for the site.

I just sent you a PM. I've figured everything out on my list except for the table look at that website, and now I have one more quick question.

In older versions there's a mod available so that when you are replying to a post and there's only a reply in the subject line and not in the body, NT is automatically added to the body if you press the NT button.

Is there a mod that will work with 6.5.2? If not, how do I make an older mod work for the newer version? It's a fantastic mod, and whomever created it was a genius.
