Hello, and welcome to ThreadsDev!

The launch took quite a bit longer than we originally intended, but we're finally live.

The two forums we've set up contain a direct copy of the original WWWThreads Support Forums' member and topic data.

The PHP forums contain only the general and PHP related forums. The Perl forums contain only the Perl related forums.

They're using different databases. We're assuming that the next major PHP Threads release is going to change the structure of the database tables, which will make using the Perl and PHP versions on the same database much harder to actually pull off.

If you would like your member data removed from one or the other (or both), please email me at [][email protected][/]

Please post questions & feedback in the proper forum. ;)

Oh, and yes, we know the colorscheme is less than spectacular. Please feel free to come up with something of your own! Thank you.

Thanks Charles, it's good to be here!

You are right about the stylesheet sucking and it might also be worth running an update query against the users table to update everyone's stylesheet setting to the one used here. When an existing member logs in the screen is almost totally illegible.

One thing you might want to point out to everyone is that after they log in, they'll need to go and change the skin in the Control Panel, at least I had to.

I've just run an update for all member data... everyone's using the default stylesheet by default.

We're working on alternatives as we speak...

Does the threadsdev skin not appear in the drop down box, or is it just not changing after updating your profile?

The other style is there but it's a little hard to see! Look carefully when the list box is open.

FYI - the default skin will be updated, and a new one will be added in a few moments...

Like it Charles. One thing, when selecting "stormy" I only get "fields" for another choice. I get all 3 whenever I choose the other 2.

I like the default threadsdev skin, but my main problem is that the "new" message markers are hard to see. How about red? BTW, very very glad the site is up! Over at UBBTDesign, there's a bunch of good skins, and a gallery. I know Poil and Eileen put their links up and it looks very nice:

Congrats ... :)

Let's hope it will become as good as UBBdev ... (i think it's that userbase but I reregistered since my user ID is listed but PW doesn't seem to work)

Just converted a license to UBBThreads so I will be back often !!!

Welcome boris []https://www.ubbdev.com/threads/php/images/icons/smile.gif[/]

The user base was from the wwwthreads site so their post counts and memberships would still work. We've grown a bit since then. We plan to make threadsdev at *least* as good as ubbdev, stay tuned []https://www.ubbdev.com/threads/php/images/icons/cool.gif[/]

Okie Allen,

I knew I registered once a long time ago at W3T when i was already a UBB addict ... so that makes why i found my old user ID back and yeah ... i will keep on using this one ...

I do hope that Threads Dev becomes as good as UBBDev cause I hope I can tune all my Boards over to UBBThreads ... still in the beta fase though of the first conversion ...

Anyhow I will try to contribute as much as I can to this board ...

Greetz
