Nothing better than coming home from 12 hours at work to see about 200 of these on my own site(s): []Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home2/www/michiganjeepers/forums/mysql.inc.php on line 97 SQL ERROR: Database error only visible to forum administrators [/] So, naturally I have about 200 IM messages, emails... I was really hoping to make it until december for my dedicated server too

Sorry Jeremy.
Don't know what that means... can you get logged in so that you can see the errors?

Oh, I should have posted more of the error.. its the "Too many connections" error. Just happened out of the blue. It happened once or twice a few months ago, but it was because they updated MySQL and forgot to change the max connections variable. It happened last week, and the other day... But this has been going on for a few hours. Good thing I'm not selling any products, or I'd be screwed

So your server is under capacity? Do you have persistant connections off in your config file? Rackspace here you come.

Yep, persistent connections are off. It was working fine all day, then BAM. I'm sure they just fudged something up on my server config.. but of course, its after business hours and they won't get to my support ticket until morning, if they even reply
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm going to bed!

Are you using persistant connections? If so turn that off in the configure file. Limiting post tracking also will help. Will post more if I think of any thing else.

I've been seeing "max connections" pop-up all the time. I think it's because my server can't handle the IIP SideBar Pal. Am I correct in assuming this? Also, my server looks like it's sucking in general lately. My main page just now: []Generated in 63.905 seconds in which 63.55 seconds were spent on a total of 21 queries. Zlib compression disabled.[/] After hitting the button to refresh the cache: []Generated in 41.503 seconds in which 40.947 seconds were spent on a total of 28 queries. Zlib compression disabled.[/] So the suckness varies.
The sad thing is, I only have 10 registered users and 5 guests on the site.
