(this is at night) Heres the story. I heard this noise, I can't explain it, it was sort of a thump, and hiss noise. I get up and I hear "Call 911, *crying* will somebody for the love of god, call 911" What’s going on? Did terrorist strike? was threw my mind.. was it a drive by shooting? What? Some person was on the ground and at this point in time I didn't know what was going on. Firefighters came about 3-5 mins later and leave, and then the cops came. Before I tell you what happened let me explain the street I’m on. I live on Clark, next to the city college, and its a one way street both ways, and theres a middle lane for turning left in to peoples homes. Theres a girl that lives next to me about my sisters age, 16? One of her friends, she parked acrossed the street and was in the middle lane waiting to go. a white truck thought the car in front of them was going too slow, he speeds down the middle to try to pass the car (which is illegal) and ran her over. and speed off. The guy couldn't even face up to what he/she/they did. She wasn't breathing.. this is all i know now.

People are soo into there own little world, whatever makes me better off, then everything is ok. was that 5 mins longer drive worth the life of another person?

Even when I'm going to be come close to being late for something.. I never drive in a rush, never for one fact, that, my #1 rule is life. Even if its my job or meeting or whatever and I would be fired or whatever, I will tell them, "its my fault for not leaving on time, but i did not want to speed and risk other people lifes on the road, and if this will cost me a paycheck, or being fired, oh well, at least no life is lost, because I can always find another job" that has always been my believe when I get behind the wheel.

Forexample, my job interview last Wed, I left 30 mins before when its a 10-15 min drive. thats 15-20 mins of time that I can give up if need be. So what if I get to the place early rather than rushing... I just listened to 103.1 for the remaining time.

its Just very sad... not only about her, but that there are people out there like this

Terrible! I really hope they catch the person that did it. I think that they should introduce IQ tests for people that want to get a driving license...

I hope they are able to catch the idiot that did it. With some luck he'll introduce himself to an oncoming train.

ahh... sorry to hear that. That is horrible. Near our campus we have people getting hit all of the time. People are just too impatient, especially when it is dark out.

I just found out, she died instantly, she was thrown 100ft? back to her car, even one of her shoes came off. and the driver wasn't trying to pass someone, he was most likely racing, they did some how caught the driver
