6.4b2 is really sweet so it'll definately be worth the wait.
But on the other hand, that would mean I'd finally have to upgrade my heavily modified 6.1 installation which I'm not looking forward to. =P

Yeah, it sucks that you have to throw the baby out with the bathwater at upgrade time. But 6.4 looks really sweet, and the built in calender will save me having to hack to integrate one.

In fact everyday I check this link.. http://community.infopop.net/2/OpenTopic?a=cfrm&s=729094322&f=8233088913and look at "UBB.threads News, Updates & Bug Fixes" to see If I see a new entry and then sob like a little girl when all I see is "UBB.threads 6.4 beta release 1 relased to Member Area" dated 03 Oct 03 07:01 PM

TIP: Go to that link - make sure you're logged in, then activate email notifications for that forum whenever there are new posts (not replies) then you'll get an email the minute navaho makes the announcement. Althought that'll be changing to a threads board soon, so that'll probably change as well... not sure if they'll continue to have an open topic board for new announcements or not.

Didn't they already switch from Threads to OpenTopic??? Why are they backtracking all of a sudden?

A long time ago.... now they are splitting it back out with a their new "eve" platform, which allows a common login between them.

Here's the link about the chanes to the Infopop Community Support forums. We'll be moving to UBBCentral.com http://community.infopop.net/2/OpenTopic?a=tpc&s=729094322&f=479091422&m=5683045057And here's the thread "all about Eve". http://community.infopop.net/2/OpenTopic?a=tpc&s=729094322&f=479091422&m=1423069237My understanding: Eve is basically an Infopop hosted solution. A broad community platform, that allows the different modules or plug in to share the same registration system. Initial modules: - All the eve modules plug into the member management system. - UBB.x will be getting a photo album feature. - A chat Service called Chime. - "Thrive" a premium membership management service, where infopop processes payments and you can restrict access to features to paying members. Once they get the support forums running on a beta version of "Eve", then they will roll out something they are calling "Groupee" that allows one login to be used for UBB.Threads, UBB.Classic, the Community Support forum, downloadable member area etc....

Well. I've been hesitant to add mods lately because 6.4 is right around the corner. But today I added the IIP Sidebarpal mod for 6.3. NOw that I've done all that work and modified several stylesheets to make it work, I figure 6.4 will come out tomorrow now
