I was wondering if anybody uses a "free home page" software. In the past, I gave away free web sites to my users with an affiliation with Northstar, now called Community Architect owned by About.com. Anyway, I want to get away from them due to the enormous amount of popup ads and such.

What I would like to do is provide a simple home page that my members can edit stuff in. Perhaps a BLOG is what I'm looking for, I don't know. Anyway, I would think that somehow the My Home can be expanded somehow so that members can include more information, or a "personal home page" so to speak so that when users visit their profile they are presented with either a much more detailed profile or a link to a personal home page they have set up in the system. Perhaps someone knows of something already out there that can be integrated into the UBBthreads.

Am I making any sense? Sometimes I confuse myself.

www.webumake.com has software that allows users to create their own webpage. I have it up on my site if you want to try it out.

Thanks. Do you have it integrated into the UBBthreads member data? I also found http://www.webdesignhq.com/ which is written in php with mysql backend. Still looking for all possible options.

I don't do the postnuke thing anymore. Not that it's a bad software, but when I was coding SuperBB, a threaded message board, for full integration I could not keep up with all the changing standards and the way things were done over there. So I dropped postnuke, bought UBBthreads and here I am. To integrate postnuke and threads is something I won't even attempt, because as soon as I'm done 6.5 will be out and here I go again changing stuff to work. That's why I quit working on SuperBB (which was used on the postnuke site for quite some time til I got fed up with the everchanging honchos over there) even though there were a lot of followers that prefered it over the other forums.

Anyway, I'm not looking for a portal software, but thanks for the link anyway.
