I have a MS Intellimouse. I love it, I've had it for years (they don't make this exact model anymore either), and do not want to think about breaking in a new one, but... aGGGGH In moz mail everytime I single click a email subject it opens a new window. I have double click speed set all the way up so I need to click very fast for a double click (I use the wheel button for doubleclick).

Anyone ever have this and it wasn't the mouse going bye bye?

How old is the mouse?

I find they only last a few years if you use them alot.

I use a microsoft wireless optical mouse. I hate wires

even if optical you still have to clean the parts. get some alcohol and a q-tip and get busey. I have had my mouse for 12 years now.

the thing with mine is, I'm soooooooooooo used to it, and I do a lot of fine line work, where I need to move almost a pixel at a time doing graphics etc, and ugh... learning the sensitivity of a new mouse scares the flap jacks out of me...

The one I have is an intellimouse and originally retailed for 110.00, and I don't like any of the new mice I've seen. They look like toys not tools.

Nothing a good sander can't fix. Shouldn't take more than an arn.

I've never experience anything like that. Maybe you need to take it apart and clean it. Wheel and all. Have you noticed this double click symptom in other apps?

Well I seem to have it fixed. I cranked up the double click speed to max, since I use the center wheel/button as my dbl click choice. But it means the problem is still there and I'm simply masking it.

When I bought my cordless mouseman optical I hated how it felt in my hand... but now... it feels so natural I don't know if I could change again.

Trackballs are only good for Centiped.

I have never cared for them actually... mostly b/c I broke my thumb a number of years ago and have a chip of bone floating in it that causes some pain and cramping in the joint after constant motion, like rolling a trackball or gripping a pen/pencil (one reason I always type and not write).

I'll stick with my mouse.
