UBB.Developers Forums General Discussion Chit Chat Customer Service [Gripe]

I am posting this in Chit Chat because I wonder if it is just me or if others may have noticed this over time also.

Over the past couple years as Outsourcing etc. has taken place in America I have noticed that the degree of courtesy from customer service personnel has dropped to an all time low of almost nothing. I notice this mostly on forums that are of a service nature and they serve as support forums for various products that the vendor has sold to various people.

It appears that the customer service persons have a very condescending attitude towards people in general who buy there products. I wont say where I have seen this sort of thing (not here) but rather that I have seen it on many web sites. So my question to you folks is am I alone in this or do others notice this shift too?

Thanks and please Post your thoughts as I am seriously starting to question my own sanity hehe. Also as a sidenote I have not been unfortunate enough to have suffered the brunt of this sort of attitude but rather it is my personal observation. It seems people Just are not "nice" to each other anymore ...

Yeah I hate calling say Earthlink customer service and getting shifted through about 4 countries before some Pakistan picks up and basically has me do the same troubleshooting I been doing while on hold... Customer Service is severly frooked and there isn;t much we can do about it.. except not to buy that companies products
