I was just wondering if anybody got a glimpse of the things to come ...
Recently I´ve come to do a lot of planning, contrary to my normal workflow "what´s this setting for - BOOM - server down".

Just comes naturally when you´re busy with more and more apps that are supposed to work with each other, I guess.
In the last couple of months I´ve been very busy with Typo3, and as I overcame the first hard steps to understand what´s going on behind the curtains, and grew fond of it, I was wondering which forum software to integrate with it.
UBBT is frozen, and I´m not so keen on writing an extension to connect with a dead horse. Yeah, UBBT is still doing great right now, I´m thinking 6-12 months.
Most of my users embrace new features, *want* new features, just like I do, it´s more like nearly 10.000 beta testing lunatics, than a stable community.
There are already extensions to typo3, even GPL'ed ones (which I highly apprechiate!), like phpBB or chc_forums. Never heard of the last one? No wonder, it´s t3-exclusive, and that´s what´s bothering me.
phpBB is flat, I don´t like flat. Even my mail client can order my mailing lists by threads, I´d *hate* to go flat.
any suggestions from non-flat people?
