.......don't know the 'exchange rate' to gallons, but our costs are $1.20 a litre.
It hurts the family budget hard and we are allowed pizza only one night a week!
.......... WHERE do I find facts about this subject?
......WHO? publishes their mpg's on a site?
......WHAT does this group know about fuel economy?
WHAT does it cost to fill up your car(name/model/ cylinders) compared to last year?
And here’s a dooozy, “how bad does it hurt the family budget? – will you have to holiday closer to home?”

Hi, In Thailand it's 23 Baht/liter (~US$0.57); my parents in Europe pay almost 3 times that I think. I think 1 gallon = 4.5 liters, btw, meaning my parents pay almost US$7 a gallon. And Americans are complaining about the cost of fuel  Sanuk!

Right, sorry... I guess I caught the fever too. Anyway...
What you call "petrol" we call "gasoline." Where I live we pay 1.98USD/gallon. This is about as high as I've ever seen gasoline priced in my entire life. This works out to about 0.52USD/liter (since 1 gallon equals 3.8 liters.) In Australian dollars this works out to about 0.68AUD/liter at the current exchange rate of about 0.77AUD to 1.00USD.
Saying it in Aussie
Wherever, AUS - 1.20AUD/liter
Maryland, USA - 0.68AUD/liter
Saying it in American
Wherever, AUS - 3.51USD/gallon
Maryland, USA - 1.98USD/gallon
I don't know the answers to any of your other questions, except that our prices haven't really changed much since this time last year that I can recall.

We currently pay 80-90p per litre. 90p is 1.64USD or 2.14AUD So 1.20AUD is cheap! and so is 0.68 USD!! You guys have never had it so good....

I just filled up my F350 this morning, 38 gallons, and DIESEL fuel here in SoCal is $2.39 / gallon

in Austria(NOT Australia) Diesel is $1.16 / liter, which is $4.39 / gallon.
In Germany and Italy it is even more expensive.

$2.10/gallon US in Northwest Ohio.
2002 F250 with a 5.3 liter gasoline V-8.
Roughly one $65.00 fill up for a 38 gallon tank once each month. (6,000 miles per year)
