I am attempting to include the output of a .cgi file in the header or a teplate of Threads 7.x I have no problem including the content of a file, but am having trouble figuring out how to include the parsed content.

One of my problems is that the host will not allow active calls to http in php. That is, I can not call things as a url, only as a file.

I am fairly sure it can be done. Any help?

I got it, sort of:

system( '/usr/bin/perl some_cgi.cgi' );

Now the question is, I want to create a new script and template file:

test.inc.php
test.tmp

How do I put the syste call into test.inc.php so that I can call it from withink the template test.tmp ??

Does anyone have a clue how I can use a system call as above to call some_cgi.cgi?variable=anything ?

I cant seem to pass variables to the cgi program.

What kind of server are you trying to run this on? Windows? Unix?
