Hi,
Couldn't find one - but has anyone put together a default or master template for 7.x so that non-threads pages can display the header/footers/sidebars etc.
I need to learn the code more to create something - but in the meantime wondered if anyone had done it.
Thanks.

Not yet, it's why my shoutbox isn't working correctly yet: http://www.praisecafe.org - I guess we need to approach it from the angle that it needs to pull everything including sidebars over so that it will be seamless

No, it's all changed The place to start would be sample.inc.php - that creates a page called ubbthreads.php/ubb/sample and can be used for pages like that, but not for pages like /sample.php

Would make for a large htaccess file for a site I know of - has maybe 100 pages running off the forum header/footer/auth - plus break all se links

Now all that's needed is a fruity drink with a miniature umbrella...

Do you just want the design, or do you need the ability to execute db queries/access the ubb core functions? I have a design wrapper built up that uses cookies to grab a user's stylesheet preference and displays accordingly: http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/

That's looking real good A design wrapper would be a good start for most, I think he was wanting to be able to pull the sidebars across too.

Thanks! You can pull sidebars into what I have using the cached files that ubb produces (pretty slick). I chose to not use them as i think they are too table heavy.
I do use the cache files to pull a list of 'news' posts into my homepage though.

Hi - thanks Yes - essentially I need to pull in the sidebars (if the user has not turned them off) incl shout box etc... So in affect it looks like the main forum pages. Thanks for any assistance.

We need more flexibility built-in as well, for one - to put things other than just the news in the center column - would be nice to put some custom islands in there, maybe the calendar
