Ok, I thought I'd start up a vote topic here on what you guys think would be the best graphic software out there on the net. I realize that many of you may have different opinions, so be sure to keep in mind that I'm also asking if the software is worth its price. Now for my vote, I would have to say Adobe Photoshop 5.0 would be a great tool for images. As many of you know, 5.5 is very expensive ($999), and the version 5.0 is a bit cheaper I think. My top 3 choices would be: 1. Photoshop 5.0 2. Paint Shop Pro 5 3. Paint Shop Pro 6 I also hear that Microsoft realeased a graphic software too, I think it's about $60-100, but I forget what its called..... ------------------ Quality Pages designing the world professional web pages for affordable prices.

I vote for Photoshop 5.5 too (6 should be here any day now) and most of all, ImageReady (how I love it so) ------------------ -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Garrett Nelson, Webmaster, Cognition "If the world didn't suck we'd all fall off."

From what I hear this is the order of votes from PSP (Paint Shop Pro), I saw this in an older thread somewhere.... 1. PSP 5 2. PSP 7 3. PSP 6 I've heard that people have decided to degrade themselves to older versions, cause the newer ones suck... I don't know though, I myself have PSP 5, but I don't want to purchase Version 7 just yet... ------------------ Quality Pages designing the world professional web pages for affordable prices.

For simple graphics, PSP4 is the best! 5 and 6 have too much "fluff" and iritating menus etc LOL
PhotoShop is good, ImageReady too

I can't quite remember but... I didn't think PSP4 had layering capabilities which was one of the important additions to PSP5. (I have 5 and 6 but use PSP5) I'm watching PSP 7 which has included many digicam features that are supposed to be great. Photoshop is very good and PhotoImpact isn't bad but I use PSP the most. Even with 256 RAM Photoshop is a system resource hog when I use it.
