The UBB Developers Network is now under new management from an old member; Gizmo (Gizzy/Gremelin) has taken over the reins of UBB.Dev from Allen Ayres this week.

I've got a bit to do by way of policing the files already on the server, and I have some ideas for enhancing the site.

Step one was disabling the registration queue and installing the Stop Forum Spam modification; this was done earlier today and with any luck we should see similar registration numbers, minus the spammers.

Step two you ask? Well, it wouldn't be much of a surprise now would it .

Congratulations, Gizmo! Allen made a wise choice.

Well, this is really great news! Many thanks to Allen for his past efforts and years of support. And having Gizmo take over is an excellent transition. This is the first time that I've been optimistic in almost 2 1/2 years. :-)

You-all know what I mean. Let's hope we see some progress on THAT OTHER board soon.

Gizmo, can someone start going through the mods and changing the subject lines to say "Stock after 7.3" or whatever? I know a lot of the mods were eventually included in stock code.

I'll likely make a new section for 7.6+; unfortunately, short of testing every mod, seeing what works past 7.3+ vs prior would be one gigantic overtaking; unless the owners of those mods want to do checks I think it'd be a lot of work with little return value.

What I was referring to was mods (from here) that became stock code in later versions of UBB.Threads. For example, someone with 7.5.6 already has the "Multiple Identity Detector" (or whatever it is called) built in, so they don't need to add it as a mod.

Ahh; well, I suppose if we had a volunteer to look such things up then yeah we could have a notice added to those threads...

This would be a major undertaking. Since some mods have been adopted in stock code but with some variations over the years.
But I would be willing to try.
I probably will need some assistance in determining what mod was adopted in some form or fashion.

Unfortuantely the easy way is digging through the changelog lol... Takes forever...

If you go in and look at the archive link I gave you then you can take and see that some things are stored separate from others; and a lot is currently relying on notes in the subject line (such as [7.3]).

All well and good but my current permissions don't allow me to edit a existing topic or subject.
I am in just the user group.
