cool and refreshing, but it never fills you up...

seriously, though, i just did this logo for a ubb...it was made for a white background, so that's why it's white in the background and not transparent.

*edit*: and if you couldn't tell by now, i like taking long walks on the beach with arial and arial black fonts, curling up by the fire with rounded rectangles, and cuddling with contemporary colors. (i.e. blue, green, gray, white, black, orange) [Linked Image]

Nice! I don't know what prog you use, but if that prog happens to be Photoshop, how do you get flat outlines like that? The closest thing I could manage was a fat dropoff in a 2-pixel-wide Glow in Eyecandy. Or do I have to go back to (shudder) PhotoDraw 2000 to get outlines? Tnx for the advice. [Linked Image]

Deb~: i'll change it first to make it more generic, so anyone can use it, then i'll make some buttons to go along with it.

Skorp: goto layer>>type>>render layer. then goto edit>>stroke, and choose a width of about 2-4 pixels. your foreground color is what color it will be stroked with. and if you REALLY like to stroke (hehehe), you can stroke any object that you can select.

and btw: i use photoshop 5.5 for everything i do, along with some illustrator 9 mixed in.

Thanks Squage. I'm glad I know how to do that in PS5 now, since it was one of the very few reasons why I would actually continue to use Photodraw. So tnx again.

CE, which effect? There is a slight black Glow from EyeCandy, and the black scanlines are from the Interlace effect from some freeware plugin. Some form of that effect (usually called Interlacing or Scanlines) is included in quite a few different plugin sets, since apparently that's an easy effect to create a plugin for, so I don't think you should have too much trouble finding it.
