This hack just ads a "delete message icon", that takes a user to a "delete message" screen next to edit icon. I know you can delete messages by going to "Edit message", but why not have a separate link, that will say "Delete message"?
Ok. Here it goes:
I don't know if this has been done yet, but anyway. If you want to add a "Delte" icon next to "Edit" icon, here's the code to include:
in ubb_library2.pl find:

right after that add:

Then in ubb_library2.pl find

and replace it with

No spaces between | |. Ubb adds them, for some reason

Yeah, we should definately have a choice of disabling HTML in message!!

BTW --> for the no html in message, couldn't you just make the UBB run a subroutine if a check box is checked, and have it replace < and > with the proper code, you know, lie & nbsp;(without the space, this one addes a non-breaking space, there is a one to make a <)

I've seene this icon all over the net; solutionscripts.com was the first one I could think of that time.

Ilya, did you get a final version of this hack working properly yet (you said there were problems)?
Also could you please repost the install instructions of where and what to add the code, like you did in your original post, there are a bunch of broken img tags in it and I'm not exactly sure of what is needed and what isn't.

The hack works great, but I was thinking it may be more useful if instead of deleting the thread, it just deleted your post.

Can we get this hack written up in a text file so we do not have to see all the broken image links in this thread and wonder what code was supposed to be there.

mazmanr, what edit button are you refrring to? Do you mean that I should look at the code for this page?

That is a little to much hassle for a hack. After all, I would have to seperate that particular post from the rest of them on this page. Way too much hassle.

It would be much cooler to simply make a txt file like many of the other hacks on this system.

Well, I tried to modify this hack to delete single posts, instead of the whole thread, but ran into a small problem (basically my complete lack of knowledge of perl). First, you need to go through authorization. Currently, the delete post is authorized in the EditPost routine, and the delete thread routine is in DeletePost. (Please correct me if I'm wrong on anything here.) So I tried to copy the DeletePost routine and change the value for ReplyNum to a variable. Unfortunatly, I have no clue how to set it so when you enter that routine it'll take the correct number. Can anyone help me out on this?

This works .. only it deletes the entire topic .. I thought it was to delete just a specific post .. any way of it being able to just delete a specific post?

This feature is already built into the UBB. It's old news.

I know that I can delete in edit mode but i want a direct delete icon. Sure its already there but i would be pleased to get an delete icon *g*

I can't see this being usful since you'd still have to go to a page where you enter your username and password, but hey, I'm not always right. If someone writes (or has already written) this, then here's an icon to use:

Hi All Master of Hach,
First i would say thanks to all of you, make/build the hach for UBB.
Now i have a problem, when i try install this DELETEPost hach in my UBB, i got problem is, they not delete 1 post (thread), they delete whole Topic.
Can anyone tell me why?.
I check out the code for admin (Delete Topic) i saw they did not have the $thisline[1] that code only in edit link, but i don't know why. they do that.

PS: This problem have same when i ENABLE/DISABLE User can edit cannot delete.
Please help me this hach.
Also i looking for the AIM hach, can anyone give me location where i can get its.

This is a bug in the hack. I haven't had time to fix it yet
