that's where I get the error. I can put in the CP path = ubb/smilies/smile.gif and the UBB works fine. It was just a pain to reenter all the smilies.

Also, was there supposed to be a new smilie button during post or do I have to edit the smiles.html everytime I add a smilie now? I mean it works... kinda.. just a lot of trouble for a few [Linked Image] [Linked Image]

also, now that the cpanel2.cgi is non-functional (still gives me that error) I can't change ANY settings in the general section. I can get the cpanel2.cgi page, but if I try to change something and hit submit I get that dreaded "Sorry! Your Gerneal Settings were not accepted" error.

something in my cpanel2.cgi is screwy. [Linked Image] everything else seems to work great.

If you set your paths correctly in your general settings, ie:
/home/users/htdocs/ubb/smilies

(or whatever your absolute paths are)

Then you shouldn't be entering paths in your smilies settings like you are, ie:
ubb/smilies/flamethrower.gif

it should be just:
flamethrower.gif

If you can't set the absolute paths in your general settings for the smilie directory, then you have a mistake in your coding and this will not work.

Hi I have finally got the file working, and have added some new smilies but they do not show up on the smilie.html file. How do I get these in do i need to add them manually, and if so is there a program that will do this for me?
Thanks
Donald
