Ok. News Fader 1.1 is now finished. It uses JavaScript not java, it uses your boards exsisting color scheme, it looks good and it uses the ubb announcements as news. There is no seperate news adding script. Becuase it doesn't use a seperate news admin system it's very easy to install and operate.

I messaged Cal about this, I hope somehow I can get them to work together on the page somewhere. I want to be able to keep my Excite News section (or whatever I choose to put in there) but also stick this announcements fader in as well.. Wonder what the best was is to implement this.

How difficult would it be for this to be adapted to work in forumdisplay? It really is a nice hack... looks very neat and integrates very well.

Hey there, I love this place. I just started hacking my forum and am having alot of luck. Anyway, I really dig the NewsFader, just what I was looking for. I am going to add some news like on alien soup also. Sports News.

Does this work on 5.45? I notice on the page you display for 5.45 nothing is fading in and out. I applied the hack to my test board and nothing happens there either. Could I have missed something?

Well it works fine on 5.45b perfectly except i cant get it to loop, how the heck did u do that.
