Hi Ash, for your first attempt it isn't bad at all but... it is very difficult to read. Now, perhaps some of the others can give ideas and suggestions to make it better and we can all learn from their expert advice. Whatcha think? I surely don't want to discourage you... ok?? Yoooooo-hooooooo... anyone have some ideas and tips??

Well yeah the readibility isn't really at its best. If you're using Photoshop, you really don't need the plug-ins as most of the things can be done within the photoshop itself. The plug-ins are just small shortcuts (such as Eyecandy). Xenofex on the other hand, could come into use. If you're using Paint Shop pro, there is a chance that you might need plug-ins, cause I'm not too familiar with it yet. The great thing about Paint Shop pro is that you can run Photoshop plug-ins in PSP too... ------------------ Quality Pages designing the world professional web pages for affordable prices.

It's pretty good looking. The color scheme is great, and it works well for the overall effect that I think you're trying to achieve. But like Deb said, the logo image is really hard to read. There is a limit to just how many effects you can use in one graphic, before it starts to look kinda overcrowded. I think if you could get a slightly narrower font, with a little more spacing between the letters, it might look better. For a first attempt at a theme set, it's really great tho! Keep on trying, and eventually you'll reach perfection. ---Skorpion ------------------

Ash you are certainly on your way ... but youll have to try and simplify it a little ... readability is a big problem there as everyone has said ... when i was studying Graphic Design I was always told that the simple designs are normally the best... try the design without the text having a pattern .. you could always add a bevel to your text to give it that 3D look
