Matze, see if this helps....
Who's Online Fix for Memberlist v2.4
The Who's Online column never showed anyone online, found something that made it work for me...
In memberlist.cgi find:
@onlineUser = split(/||/, $online[$i]);
replace with:
@onlineUser = split(/|^|/, $online[$i]);

Hey, You need to CHMOD the file as per instructions to make the lettercreate.pl file executable. Then simply bring up that file in your browser and let it do its thang. Then all your members will show assuming you did the mod correctly ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif) TotalNewbie

Anyway. Installed this mod, ran lettercreate.pl. All's fine on the board except the memberlist is not showing up anywhere! Edit--It's there, there are just no links to it. This message has been edited by scat on November 30, 2000 at 01:55 PM

People usually link their memberlist near the register, profile, prefs links. But I guess near the contact us link would work ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif) ------------------ This message has been edited by GoTorankusuKu on January 07, 2001 at 04:11 PM

I'm almost done coding and testing v2.5 of Memberlist, which will likely be the last feature release before v3.0, which will be written for UBB6. If you'd like to make any suggestions for v2.5 before it's released, please go here . ------------------ Leshrac leshrac@magictraders.com Founder, Owner - Magic Online Trading League (MOTL) http://www.magictraders.com MOTL Bulletin Board This message has been edited by Leshrac on January 09, 2001 at 11:08 PM

Looking for a few good testers.
All the feature coding for Memberlist v2.5 has been completed, all that remains is some code clean-up and commenting. If you're interested in beta testing Memberlist v2.5 over the weekend, please e-mail me by 12:00AM (midnight) Thursday. I'm only looking for other Perl programmers to be beta testers, so that they can offer input on the code before release, so if you're just looking to install the hack, please wait until Monday. I will only be accepting a limited number of beta testers (5-10), so please e-mail me soon if you're interested.
Sorry if this seems rude or arrogant in any way, I just want to avoid having to do letter releases because of bugs if at all possible.
Thanks.

ok, thanks... everyone can still post, so that's good. I backed up the Members' folder before I ran lettercreate.cgi, so we were safe... There might be a link besides the base link to get to the actual member's listing. I'll check the instructions... ------------------ Allen - http://www.stand318.com

If the script can't find the setup file, it defaults to the admin login page so that you're forced to log in and set the list variables. This works fine on UNIX platforms, but is untested on Windows platforms, which is what UBBDEV appears to be running, hence the beta testing. The code causing this is in the second half of the "elsif" conditional on line 87 of memberlist.cgi.

Maybe that is the problem then Leshrac, thanks. Would it matter if the member files were on a different disk on a windows server? I am not sure how they were referenced in your script... if the setup file was built in the ubb cgi directory or the Members directory... ------------------ Allen - http://www.stand318.com

It shouldn't matter, since the script uses the UBB path variables. You could try hard coding in the paths and see if that does anything.
