Is this Login/Logout script working? Isn't there something wrong that doesn't actually let you log out? Or has this been fixed now... ------------------ Sal Collaziano www.80sxchange.com and

Sal, Its not my script, but I have been using it for moths with no problems. Easy install, low cpu usage, etc. Im no expert, but one could guess that your ubb cookie settings could be a factor or something similar. ------------------ http://www.3dfiles.com http://board.3dfiles.com

Confusion: I'm not talking about the login/logout Mod.
I'm talking abouut the login mod that forces the users to register no matter what the users does.

Yes, I'm on Long Island. And WebDaddie - most people tell me it's not a good idea to force users to register.. Just a thought...

Does this mod skip the login page if the person has cookies enabled? My board would like to have something like this so the "Who's online" hack will show all registered users instead of always 4 or 5 guests. They don't want to login if their cookies are already "working properly". ------------------ Mike------------------ Visit STCC: stcchat.com

hey guys! how do i go about placing the log in section over on the left, like on this site? (as opposed to its own little page). i already have the "table format" for my boards (which are here, btw, http://www.robkamphausen.com/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi? ). but, im not really sure how i place the cgi in there. i downloaded it, as recomended up top, and, it IS up and running at http://www.robkamphausen.com/cgi-bin/login.cgi? , just not being implemented. thanks! ------------------ i have spoken www.robkamphausen.com

Ok, I installed this mod and I can get to the login page and enter my info and it takes me to the forum but it doesnt log me in correctly, I can click login and enter my info again but this doesnt work and the login/pass will not come up automatically when I go to login so I have to type it in everytime. Am I missing something?
Oh, I'm using V 5.47

well thats all fine and dandy that yours works, but that really dosent answer my question now does it?
I noticed that on 5.45c i dont have a cookie-lb.pl file. could this be the error? that this login script only works for 5.44?
I mean i installed it exactly like the instructions say and theres a problem. if someone who has 5.45c would also install it and see if they get the same error i would appreaciate it.

When you want to download the script, don't go to save as. The browser processes HTML in the cgi file which might screw it up. Instead, open up the source then copy paste all of that in notepad.

I am having problems after I add the $LoginText ahead of the other "header info" on my UBB. What shoul I do to separate the two. I have added the hack where the Members List is the first item so, it reads: Without adding the $LoginText it works fine, but when I do add it, and I have tried all types of ways to separate it, I keep getting Internal Server Error. Please help! Best Regards, David Young This message has been edited by dmyoung on January 15, 2001 at 02:01 AM
