That's weird, I have tried it on both Win2k and Win98 and I got an error message at bottom left of the browser, everything is fine excpet the newsfader part ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/frown.gif) Must be something to do with the IE setting.

Using IE 5.5, I get two errors (although the second I beleive is due to the first..or maybe even vice versa) I get a syntax error in the fader.js in line 28, a syntax error. The line is If I continue past the error, I then get a FDRmaxLoops is undefined error in the same line even though it is defined in the Ultimate.cgi. I'm clueless when it comes to javascript, so maybe I missed something simple. Netscape, no errors, but also no newsfader. in IE5.5 I can click by the errors and will get to the UBB fine but with no news. Going to to just back to messing with things to see if I can get it to work, but if anyone more knowing can throw me a line, would be much appreciated. ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif)

Doh... Nevermind.. That'll teach me to try working with code at 4 in the morning. Forgot to set things up in general settings. Works like a charm now.

Hi, thanks for this nice Mod ! When using IE5.5SP1 with the Virtuale Machine update from MS I will always get an Error: undefined variable =>start debug mode. This will only happen on machines with this sh.. VM update. You can't see anything in the newsline. Without this VM update all work fine. anyone an idea to fix ???

Does this work only with 5.46+ or does it also work with 5.45 (5.45c)?

ok I installed this ran the general settings and then tried to add user defined news, I now come up with this error in IE 5.5 SP1 on win 2k.
runtime error line 253: in the fade.js file isLink = linkStr.length is null or not an object. All I added in the user defined is some plain text. I am running UBB v 5.47d. Help please. Thanks
