This changes cell colors to whatever color you want when you mouse over it and clicking anywhere in the cell will take you to the link. It only displays this in IE 4+ and Nutscrape 6+. Other browsers/versions will ignore the code.

I don't consider this a hack but thought maybe someone else might like to use it.

Also includes the directions posted below to work with Non SSI Hits Counter 2 and Hits Counter 3 .

Check my boards for an example. (ignore the mess, undergoing massive overhaul)

freakscene... You might wanna document this a little better for those who are 'challeged'.

Also can you give a more definitive answer to exactly what and where to place the code for the non SSI counter so i can count the hits that are NOT clicked directly on the link.

BTW... This SEMI-works with Netscape6.0/ mozilla. This is wierd though... It only highlights 3/4 of the box when highlighted!?

Wierd... Anyone else getting the same thing?

I put the instructions in a text file and put the complete seperate code for people with/without the counter (more importantly, removed the horizontal scroll from this post ).

In Nutscrape 4x it looks as it did pre-mod... I'll get a copy of 6 later today and look at it.

If anyone impliments this anywhere else (PM, Memberlist, Who's Online....) update the instructions so everyone else can benefit. I'll look into more options when I get some time. Work sucks....

I have an older version of the counter, 2.5 I think, not real sure what it was when I installed it. I have not upgraded to 3 since I am not that sure about taking it out to put the new one in. But I modified it to work with mine. This is the modified line for mine:

Freakscene...great code. I converted into MHK format. It works great on 6.05. The only other hack it was installed with was membership list and wordlet mod. I'm not sure if it'll work with any other mods installed. Let me know if you mind that i distribute it on UBBDev. I put the credits in htere and everything.
