Hello everyone,
Have you ever wish to track people reading threads in the great Who's Online Hack without using SSI? Well, here is a solution using the Non-SSI 3.0 Hits Counter. The modification is simple and there is one file effected [ postdisplay.cgi ].
Note: This will not log people in private forums.

Open postdisplay.cgi file.
Find:
Code
code:

Add directly under it:
Code
code:

That's it!

p.s: Thanks for Dave Downin for providing this useful subroutine: &WriteUserSession [Linked Image]

So anyone know how to make it read the name of the forum and name of the topic... Rather then numbers..

Also is there a way to do it for the other hits counter... The one with ubbcount.cgi. That has the writting possibility included. I really want to find away to show what topics people are reading... Is there anyway to put maybe some code in your header in control pannel, this way the who's online can track members anywhere on the board.. Private message view, sending, UBBIM's, the team, world time, profile editing, reading, preferences... This would be a BIG TIME addition.. Who's good enough to make it happen!!

Extracting the Forum's/Topic's name would cost the server's resources, especially if you have large number of users online.

Best Regards,
