Here's the code for anyone who wants it. Just wrote this tonight. It's been tested and works on 5.47...*insert usual disclaimer here*

By logging into your preferences, you now have the option of where you're forwarded after posting a reply. Normally UBB takes you back to the thread, but this'll let you go back to the forum listing if you wish.

in ubbmisc.cgi

find:

add after:

That's it for ubbmisc. Save and upload.

Now open postings.cgi

find:
Quote
quote:
replace with:

Save and upload.

This by will default to return the replier to the thread. If desired, it can be used to return to the forum listing though.

http://www.canadiancaraudio.com/cgi/ubbmisc.cgi?action=setprefs

shows the preferences screen where the option is set.

Normally when you post a reply, ubb returns you to the first page of the thread (unless you have the anchor hack) This hacks gives the option of returning you to the forum listing instead.

Anyway you can make this to co-exist with the anchor hack?

I don't have the anchor hack installed, but from looking over the code I don't see any issues. All it does is alter the $GoTo variable which is the url ubb will forward to. The anchor hack just adds a #X onto the end of the url...
