Works great, one glitch though. When you view the post, it's missing the post icon causing a missing image..

Any ideas?

I will need to go over it and compare to privatesend.cgi...

Hey i'm very new to this! But i've found the error and fixed it!

Find this line:

print PMFILE "1|$UserName|$AdminName|Welcome|$WelcomeMsg|$datetime|Yes|01n";

Change to:

print PMFILE "1|$UserName|$AdminName|Welcome|$WelcomeMsg|$datetime|Yes|1n";

Now yopu have the Notice-Paper Icon!
You can put in there every Number you want!

This mod doesnt appear to be v5.46 friendly

Just a question about this Welcome PM mod.

Is it still being worked on? The reason I am asking is because I have noticed when a new member signs up it does send them a Welcome PM but now it does not send me an e-mail notification with the new users registration information.

Also it would be nice if you could have in the Welcome Letter some line spaces so that the line doesn’t have to be all bundled up together on 1 continues line.

But I do want to say this Welcome PM is nice and gives the new user a good feeling about the boards to start off with.

Yeah if this is updated with those fixes above, I'm installing this without a doubt!

Thanks CAL for the GREAT add-on PM to new User,

But i have modify something. It you can modify the Welcome Message on CP.

Here the code i done, and it work on 5.47
Files to modify are: ubbmisc.cgi and cpanel2.cgi and your UBB must full version with PM hach installed.
in ubbmisc.cgi, find: (This orginal from Cal)


Under that ADD:
Save UBBMISC.CGI open CPanel2.cgi

find:


Add on ABOVE that:


All DONE, Save Cpanel2.cgi upload back to your ubb server. Open CP then slect General Setting, THis will on the bottom of General Seting Page.

Well, I installed it as Allen said, and fixed the 01 to a 1 and it works like a charm on 5.46

Took about 1 minute for the whole deal...

well, i did all of this mod. And then i went to save it and then it only let me save as .txt, and i saved the file as this:
ubbmisc.cgi
it turned out like this:
ubbmisc.cgi.txt
and i used wordpad because NotePad said it was too big
any suggestions?

Just remove the .txt from the name.
