Not sure where I should post this but when you click on a topic in this forum - "who's online" for example, the whole table scrolls about 1/3 off the screen.

Its not faulty, its just that people have put big chunks of text/code in their post and it forces the table to be wider to fit in all the text/code.
I can't afford a good signature editor

Can't the table be forced not to scroll? That seems the sensible option.

Not really, if the text inside it is bigger then the table cell it has to strech it to fit it in. Even with a fixed width table (as opposed to a percentage based one) it would still be resized automatically
