Hi guys I have this hacked 5.47e board with Rate topic, avatar, gender, Yahoo/AIM/AOL IM hack, Private Messages hack, Online Hack, installed. (Amongst others).
My question is as follows:
These hacks obviously change the # of lines in each file in the Members directory (Member#.cgi file). Secondly, the avatar hack changes the content as it inserts a picture tag in each html file. Yahoo/AIM/Aol IM hack also changes the content of each html file in the board.
My prob is that this modified board got hacked severely, with this one user stealing user passwords etc. So my first assumption is that somewhere within the hacked stuff is a loophole he exploited. Obviously I will do some research on this but first step is to upgrade to 6.x
My question is how do I ugprade these hacked files to 6.x ?? Any help would be appreciated very much. It's a pity since I put in a lot of effort on these hacks to make 'em work and now this teen hacker walks in pissed off at another teen gal on the site and starts pulling apart the forum I setup.
I would like to retain most member posts and membership information. That's the minimum I would like :-)

You have to re-install all your hacks because you can't port the v5 code to v6. And use that program AL mentioned to get rid of extra member files.

I remember seeing an app on infopop's site that will fix your member files so they will be upgradable to version 6x
I can't afford a good signature editor

It's down. The server somehow CHmodded our cgi-bin to 0 and we can't access it in any way.
