(I know this is not the correct forum, but)All of a sudden a few days ago our search feature stopped working
http://www.guyana.org/cgi-bin/ubb/Ultimate.cgi
Any ideas as to why, I tried to CHMOD back all of the files and still no luck.
Thanks

do you use one file for all or one file per forum for the serachindex?
when you use one file for all, change to one file per forum, and generate the new index.

the problem ist an indexfile grater than 3 MB. you can use this Mod .
to modify the cycle length change the value of $maxLinePerCycle...

Thanks for replying, I only allow search one forum, not search all forums.

We do have some threads that are about 5 pages long with each page holding 75 posts

when you have again problems with the filesize use the mod to search per cycle in the forum...

where do i put this

I'm running 5.47e, and have a problem with the search. whenever I do an active topic search, it comes with nothing, even when there are active topics. this happened after switching the boards over to the enw servers, as it worked before.

Any help is appreciated.

I got it working.

turns out, I had to change a thing in search.cgi from if x=0 then goto 0

changed 0 to something like search or something. now it keeps searching after it fails of the first forum. thanks for your help.
