Ok, this may be kinda hard to explain, but could someone maybe do a list of all the cgi and template files of ubb and list what each file contains...i.e. so i could look at the list and instantly find the file(s) that i'd need to edit to achieve a certain function. For example, in ubb5.4* i instantly knew it'd need to edit ultimate.cgi if i wanted to change something on the main forum view. I've been through most of the files myself figuring things out and stuff, but i'm still a newbie so so more expert help would be appreciated....and I keep seeing questions everything asking "what files do i need to edit to do......", so i think it would be generally usful as well. Anyway, just an idea...cheers.

So in other words, you want a hacking guide?

I'm sure there's one in the works, if not planned.

well, not strictly a guide or tutorial...like:

public_topic_page.pl - thread html
public_forum_summary.pl - thread summery/forum view html
...
...

like a quick reminder of what's each file does. I've been through most of them and learning more everyday, and most of the file names are self explanitory to those familiar with the ubb, but it'd be nice to have an absolute, fool proof list of what code is where...
