i don't quite know how this will work, if somone can also answer the other question i asked, then the user wouldn't even need to be registerd.

ok let me explain...

the user writes a reply or starts a new topic and there is another filed which the fill in, (need to be added) this is their e-mail address. Once the post has been posted the board e-mails the e-mail addy with a password and page to go to, when the don't want it up anymore, i have an idea of y i want this. i just don't can't think of any code, can any one help or would like to input into my idea.

This would require a major hack (and later a module).... the UBB makes absolutely no attempt whatsoever to store data about unregistered users, other than the IP. Doing this would require adding a field to the thread data file, and that might be a dangerous situation down the line...

that is what i want, to add extra fields any one know how it is done???
