This might be trivial, or it might be so difficult that it's not worth doing. I will freely admit that I don't know enough yet about UBB 6 to even conjecture on that point.

What I would dearly love would be a way to archive posts in a format that I could simply move them to another site where I have unlimited space (but no cgi access). Perhaps a simple way to approach it (that would work for me) is that when a chunk of posts are archived, an index.html would be created for that set, and that index.html would only have relative paths.

For example, I could archive biweekly, and each time, a new folder would be created for those posts with an indexing html file included. Then, I could simply move the folder to the other site, and link it up to my main index.

This has been brought up a few times in the past, and MIGHT be possible.... Emphasis on the MIGHT. It would require some interesting tweaking work with the cache, Archive::Tar or ::Zip, and a little elbow grease.

Charles,
could it not be worked in with the prune somehow? For example, could the board not be configured to create an html file immediately before the post is deleted, put the url for that html file in a linked list, and then when all the posts are pruned, create an index html file containing all the links? If each of those links was relative, it would be very simple to move the whole mess elsewhere.

Trying to integrate it with an existing feature might be more work than coding it as a seperate script, actually...
