I know Slash UBB will probably take care of this, if it's released for UBB 6, but I was wondering one simple hack... Take a look at www.rockboard.net and take a look at the "post comments" link. I'm running newspro for the news script, but I was wondering if it'd be possible to implement something so I wouldn't have to make a link by hand to the UBB to the post of the news. Basically, I'm having to post the news on the UBB, then post the news to Newspro. Then link them together. It's a real pain in the ass. Anyone have any suggestions to how to create some sort of work around. I would assume you'd have to add something into newspro that would post the news to the UBB and to the main page and create the link... I'm CGI stupid, btw. Infinite

Just from my minor experience with newspro, you'd have to put in routines to extract + interprite the data from a UBB thread... revealing a HUGE amount of copyrighted UBB code in the process.

Guess I should just wait until Slash UBB is developed for UBB 6.

As I mentioned here, Newspro's new version is titled Coranto, and you can actually include perl code in your styles settings, so a hack should be very easy.
