there is a site www.livejournal.com and I think that some perl gurus could easily make a script like that, an addon to the ubb.

i've been using a blog-type thing on me' boards for awhile. i just make it a seperate forum that only i can post into (but everyone else can read... if they're that sick n'peverted :))
in ubb v5's, there was a way to reverse the thread order of just one forum, so, i had my newest posts at the top. im workin on finding a similar way in v6, but once i do, that might be just the thing yer lookin for.

My ideal journal mod would be a multi-user journal for everyone on the board they could have the option to turn it on or not.
Each person could specify who could read it like people on there buddy list private or possibly password only.
