Hi there, I am wanting to get an active topics hack, that will be able to pull the last x amount of topics from UBB and display them on the fron page, without having to make any mods to the program....

You cant, its so easy to add 10 lines to the ubb code though.

10 lines sound's ok.
Now where do I find the program where I only have to add 10 lines ?
I downloaded one, but that required heaps of mods to the ubb program.

A working headline mod of recent posts (SSI to the main site page) is becoming seriously overdue. It's probably the single best traffic builder currently being ignored.

i know the SSI version of this is being (and has been) worked on by others. there's a beta in the BETA forum.
my quest (and, i assumed, the quest of the person who began this thread) was to find a version of "active topics" where the most recent topics were listed as part of the forum summary, in a table below the forum and catagory names, as opposed to being listed on a seperate "intro" page.
