if someone could make a mod for the board that would be like aim or icq that would rock, and if it had a buddy list even better, that way while people are surfing your board they can talk to certain people, ya there is the chat thing but that means people have to be tied down to the certain section but if you had an instantmessage window you could browse the board at the same time

I think there is a AIM hack when u click the icon u can talk to that person...

he means instant message. aim u need the other person to have it.. but he wants i think an instant messanger.. its a mod for ubbv5

That hack is available for UBB6 too I think..not sure check the database..

No there is only an AIM hack on status..

I think the instant message to other members hack would be really cool as well.

the aim hack does not have status that is the icq hack.

if i knew how to make hacks and all that i would make this in an instant, but i don't. i have an idea how it could work, there are ready is a member list of people online(who's online) all that is really needed now is to make it where you can text message eachother.

would the applet to allow online chat with AIM & for ICQ be of any help in this situation?

i mean, if you (ubb-hackers) could get the username info from the user panel & incorporate it so that it will log you into the applet, ya may be able to get it to work.. could just open the applet in an additional window.. ive already hacked the applets to run outside of any AOL/ICQ driven sites... let me know..

Yeah half chat, half PM = message window
User list is pulled from who's online.
User 1 selects user 2 and enters a subject. User 2 is then pinged with a pleasing tone and window stating that user 1 has sent a message about subject. Options are accept, ignore or close. If user 2 accepts, a very simple and basic message window opens. End session button should be easy to locate and maybe even send a 'nice chatting with you' message to the screen automatically.

So what time tomorrow do you think it'll be finished?
