I beleive UBB now doesn't have enough security features for gettting infomation on members. It only logs IPs on each individual post and to read that persons IP you must go to that post to get it which is a large pain.

What if it was set up so that the last 5 (latest) IPs were logged for each member. Then when you go to admin the board and do a member search you will select the members name and see a list of their latest IPs.

I would really like to see this as I need to follow some untrustworth members better and this would increase the overall security of the board. Pin pointing a member to an IP rather than digging for it.

Example:

Member name: test

Latest IPs recorded:

Date: May 8, 2001: 12:00am IP: 10.0.0.1
Date: May 8, 2001: 12:00am IP: 10.0.0.2
Date: May 8, 2001: 12:00am IP: 10.0.0.3
Date: May 8, 2001: 12:00am IP: 10.0.0.4
Date: May 8, 2001: 12:00am IP: 10.0.0.5

But this would only be available to the forum admin or moderators. Much like the grant access to locked forum privelleges are.

Please someone think about making this.

This really wouldnt be all that difficult to make. I assume that you would want this in the control panel but would you want it as a separate feature or tied in with when you view a member's details.

Do you want it to be strictly 5 ip's or would you like that to be customizeable?

Do you want it to check if its a new ip everytime they post or only when they login or both?

Also how many members are on the board that you plan to put this on as that will alter how efficient that this needs to be...

Do you want to be able to search for a specific ip (or part thereof)?

Get it all spelled out exactly as you want it and I should have time this week to crank it out (plus i know a cpl ppl who could also probably put it to good use).

Thats a good idea. I'd like to see it be made. Might be hard though.

Will come in very handy, thus using this you can drop the login hack
