Can someone create, or tell me how I would make a mod to limit the length of someone's name?

First of all: I have no knowledge whatsoever of perl, so don't blame me if this doesn't work.

I thought myself it was quite simple.

OPEN public_register_page.pl (template) and find the following code:


You see the "MAXLENGTH=25"?. I think just changing that to 15 for example should work. I'm testing right now, 'll you know if it works.

tested it, and it works fine.

It works only for new registering user though of course. But with the hack Zack and I created you can easily change someones public name through the CP. Check this link:
