my ubb is 6.04e, the default display order is the newest topic have been replyed. But seems this make some ppls feeling confuse and there is some bad side effect.
So i hope there will be a hack that can change the display order, means that even the newest reply topic still keep on the line..don't bump up to the top of the forum.
I don't know whether now already is a hack to do this, if yes, sorry for asking and plz tell me where to find this hack.
Hope there will be some kindly help !! thx for all who worked for different hacks and come in to see this message.

Is it really that confusing? I mean, most BBS' do it that way....
BTW, he wants the topic to stay where it is, and not get bumped to the top of the list after a reply, or at least that's what I got out of it....

Here is the quick fix for you that works in all forums not sorted alphabetically... in ubb_new_reply.cgi FIND: Then either replace it or alter it so it looks like this:Once again this will work globally throughout all forums... if you need it to be forum specific, i can write it for really quick to let you decide in the forum settings in the CP how you want the forum sorted... *note* this will work fine, but if you delete the forum_x.threads, it will be reset upon posting... i didnt have time to take care of that yet but i will when i get a chance. hope this helps [ June 14, 2001 04:14 AM: Message edited by: Section ]
